Getting Started

Step 1: Get the Apps

  1. First, download and install the Droplr apps for Mac, iOS, and Windows.

  2. Launch Droplr and log in to your account.


Step 2: Share a File

Droplr makes sharing files easy.

  1. Simply drag any file or folder into the Droplr icon in your menu bar (Mac) or task bar (Windows). Your file will be uploaded to your Droplr account and a link to it will be copied to your clipboard.
  2. Paste the link into a chat window, email, forum or anywhere to share.

Step 3: Share a Screenshot

Screenshots are a super-quick, simple way to share ideas and inspiration.

  1. Click the Droplr icon in your menu bar (Mac) or right-click the Droplr icon in your task bar (Windows).
  2. Click the camera symbol (Mac) or select Grab screenshot from the menu (Windows).
  3. Click and drag to select the area of your screen you want to capture.
  4. Your screenshot will appear in the Droplr Draw window (Mac only). Mark up your screenshot, then hit Upload.
  5. Your screenshot will be uploaded to your Droplr account and a link to it will be copied to your clipboard.
  6. Paste the link into a chat window, email, forum or anywhere to share.

Step 4: Share All Kinds of Stuff

With Droplr, you can:

  • Capture a screenshot, draw and comment on it, and share it.
  • Make a screencast and share it as a movie or GIF.
  • Nab a web page and share it as an image.
  • Convert any text doc into a PDF and share it.
  • Write a note and share it.

Manage Your Stuff

You can manage all your stuff online. Just log in to your account and visit d.pr to access the Droplr dashboard.

You can also see and share your recent uploads by clicking on the Droplr icon in your menu or task bar. From this menu you can also:

  • Copy a link to your file to your clipboard.
  • Share your file via email, chat, Twitter, Facebook.
  • Password protect your file.
  • Delete your file from Droplr.

Hotkeys and Shortcuts

  • Capture screenshot: Option-shift-4
  • Capture and draw screenshot: Option-shift-control-4
  • Compose note: Option-shift-N
