This File Will Self Destruct

Sometimes you don’t want the stuff you share to stick around forever. That’s why we’ve added the “self destruct” option to Droplr. You can set drops to detonate after one hour, one day, or one week. Think of it like Snapchat, or Instagram Stories, but for files.

Droplr aims to make sharing quick, simple, and elegant. Managing a massive archive of files is anything but simple. With these detonating drops, you can send it and forget it. Fewer files to manage and less mess. It’s clean and simple.

Because ideas and inspiration can be transient and ephemeral. Because the only thing that truly matters is the present moment. Because not all screenshots are meant to endure inexorable march of time. Some are meant to self destruct.

Here’s how it works. From the Mac app, click the Droplr icon in the menu bar. Select Self Destruct, then select the duration of your drop. You can also set the default time of all your drops (from this point on) in Settings in the Droplr Dashboard.
