Droplr + Slack

Slack Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Communication

Slack makes it easy to communicate with your team via both dedicated channels and direct messaging. You can also call or video chat with a few clicks of a button.
  • Screen Sharing

Sometimes showing is better than telling and Slack’s screen sharing feature makes sharing your screen with colleagues quick and easy.
  • File Integration

There is no need for email attachments when using slack – share your files through Slack’s file integration.
  • App Integration

Slack integrates with a number of apps you’re already using, like Droplr, Google Doc, Jira, and Salesforce.

Cons:

  • Price

Once you get to the paid plan, it gets expensive as you pay for every user. The costs can add up quickly.
  • Messaging Overload

Even if your team isn’t big, messages can be a distraction to normal workflow. Some have called Slack a “corporate texting tool.”
  • File Size Limitations

Sharing files on Slack is great, but if the files are big, you get charged for overage.
  • Leaving Slack

Once you use Slack, there’s really no way to migrate completely successfully to a competitor like Microsoft Teams.
