Mixmax and Droplr
“Even though we have incredibly powerful devices, we’re still communicating the same way we have for the past 5,000 years: natural written language. That makes no sense when you can communicate in much smarter and expressive ways using software.” – Olof Mathé, Mixmax Founder
We’re psyched about our Droplr integration with email powerhouse, Mixmax. Mixmax users can use Droplr sharing right in an email window—no interrupting flow. We’re huge fans of intuitive productivity tools at Droplr, and Mixmax is one of the best. How does it work? We sat down with Maxmax founder Olof Mathé to get the details.
What is Mixmax?
Communication is dumb. Wait, dumb? Hold on, hear us out. It’s 2017 and we’re still using plain-old written language to convey a nuanced spectrum of thought and emotion*. That’s why Olof Mathé and his team made Mixmax. “Even though we have incredibly powerful devices, we’re still communicating the same way we have for the past 5,000 years: natural written language,” he says. “That makes no sense when you can communicate in much smarter and expressive ways using software.”
Mathé describes Mixmax as an all-in-one productivity suite for external communication. It’s a robust plugin for Gmail that lets users track and chart messages, easily schedule meetings, and invoke external sources like YouTube and Google searches right in the message composer window. With Mixmax, users can easily see who’s opened their messages and when. They can create and use message templates and, add polls, videos, and more. “We can actually embed software in messages that let us communicate in ways that are 100 times more effective,” says Mathé.
Mixmax and Droplr
“Droplr is a perfect fit for Mixmax,” says Mathé. “Droplr speaks directly to our ethos. ,” he says. “People use our product for multiple hours every day. They want to have their tools directly at their fingertips and do not have to switch context in the middle of their workflow. That’s exactly how Droplr works—it puts file sharing and screen capture right at your fingertips.”
Droplr integration means users can capture, draw, and share screenshots without leaving the Mixmax message composer window. They can quickly invoke the Droplr app, activate the screencap features, and integrate their shot in their emails.
“There are a ton of agencies using MixMax, a lot of customer support people, a lot of designers and visually oriented people using MixMax,” says Mathé. “We’ve received a lot of requests for a tool that does what Droplr does, and now it’s baked right into Mixmax. It adds a tremendous amount of value to our product.”
If you’re a Droplr and Mixmax user, give it a try. If you haven’t tried Mixmax yet, pop over to their site and sign up. It’s free and easy.
